I closed my eyes during one of the rehearsals. I wondered where the light was. The kind that can be seen in the dark. In Ványa's soul? In Jelena's soul? I sat in the auditorium with my eyes closed, and suddenly something came to me. It turned out that while these people were cutting each other's heads off, every word, every rejection, every slap in the face, was a return of love.
This truth was revealed there in the darkness. A brilliance greater than the brightness of light.
