THIS IS HOW I SEE IT - TOMPA MIKLÓS TALE
theater performance based on the book of interviews by László Bérczes Székely körvasút

Miklós Tompa tells stories: he speaks unstoppably, colorfully and experientially about the defining stories of his life, about the history he lived, about people who were important and whom he kept in his memory, and of course about the theater - his main goal: to create a permanent theater culture in the doomed Székelyland. These stories are good to watch and listen to because they speak to you personally, as they are also part of our lives: of the region, the city where we live, our family, ours.
In the early nineties, Miklós Tompa told László Bérczes, and this is how the book of life interviews entitled Székely körvasút was born, the text of the performance was prepared by Olga Barabás, who is also the director of the performance.
The conversation book, as well as the performance inspired by it, is also a historical document, since the 1945-1946. The history of the theater's establishment in 1988, as well as the important stages of the artist's life, which also determined the grand realist streak of theater culture in Marosvásárhely and Székelyföld, are elaborated in a dramatic, interview-theater format. The founder-director of the Székely Theater is played by Csaba László, the UNITER award winner.
The Marosvásárhely National Theater celebrates its 80th season in the 2024/2025 season, in the framework of which, with this performance, it pays tribute to its own founder and also to its large-scale creator. The production, which will be presented in December 2023, is intended by the Tompa Miklós Társulat as the forerunner and opening of the series of festive events planned for the jubilee season.
