The Time Wheel at Gălățeni (HU)

May-31
We’re moving away from Târgu Mureș, and the next – and final – edition of this season’s “Wheel of Time” program will take place in Gălățeni!
On this occasion, we invite primary school children (grades 0–IV) and their families to join us in learning about Pentecost traditions and the folk calendar for the month of May.
Folk traditions tied to calendar holidays are always rich and multifaceted – they include stories, songs, dances, gestures, and customs. We aim to pass on this cultural richness through experience: we will tell stories, play, dance, and create together.
At the traditional crafts workshops, participants will learn how to weave, felt, and make leather spinning tops.
The program will be held in Hungarian.
Date: May 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM
Location: Gălățeni, Cultural Center

Világló Association, Mureș County Museum – Department of Ethnography and Folk Art
