The story is set in the last weeks of the Ceausescu dictatorship. The author shows us the deepest and darkest recesses of this hopeless period through the eyes of the most sensitive age group, adolescents.
Three boys, about to graduate from high school, revolt against the scarcity of life and start an anti-establishment campaign. Although the motives of Peter, born to rebel, Zoli, a conformist grinding between power and his friends, and Aaron, at odds with the world, including himself, are quite different, the initial successes are intoxicating for all of them. Thirty years later, at a class reunion, they have to face the real consequences of their actions.
The novel was adapted for the stage by Olga Barabás
