The story takes place during the final weeks of the Ceaușescu dictatorship. The author reveals the deepest and darkest corners of this hopeless era through the eyes of the most sensitive age group – teenagers.

Three boys on the verge of graduating high school start engaging in anti-regime actions as a form of rebellion against the limitations of life. Although their motivations differ – Péter, born a rebel; Zoli, torn between authority and his friends; and Áron, who lives in conflict with the world and himself – the initial successes intoxicate them all.

Thirty years later, during a class reunion, they are forced to face the true consequences of their actions.

Now, thirty years after those events, when the experience of that era is fading and fewer people are interested in how and why those things could happen, and what their consequences were, it becomes increasingly important to speak about it again. To recall, to tell, to reflect.

To hold up a mirror.
