The Dream after William Shakespeare
Nov-26
At the Small Hall
After the success of the play “The Tempest,” Nicolas Cristache will present the Mureș audience with another encounter with the fascinating and inexhaustible world of William Shakespeare.
“The Dream: a dynamic and vibrant new interpretation of the most delightful Shakespearean comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, explores the complexity of love in all its forms and complications through a story that outlines an experience similar to a kaleidoscope of emotions.
Love is the key word around which the entire action is constructed, and as the story unfolds, more and more forms take shape, with a multitude of shades, transforming this abstract idea—Love—into a tangible form that we can see, feel, and taste. The Dream takes us to the meeting point between two worlds—the physical world and the metaphysical world, the free world and the one constrained by the rules and pressures of society. We have the opportunity to reflect on the nature of love, observing how it can transform any situation it enters.
In a daily reality where fear and violence seem to be more widespread than positive emotions and feelings, this show aims to provide the audience with a necessary escape filled with humor and fantasy, intertwining the real with the imaginary and reminding us of the extraordinary power of love to bring harmony into our lives.”
