Vanya and Her (HU)

During one of the rehearsals, I closed my eyes. I was curious to see where the light was. The kind that is visible even in darkness. In Vanya’s soul? In Jelena’s soul? I sat in the audience with my eyes shut, and suddenly, something became clear. It turned out that while these people were throwing all sorts of words at each other, every word—even the rejecting ones, even those that struck like a slap—was actually a response to love.

This truth came to light there in the darkness. A brightness greater than the light itself.
