The book published by Holnap Könyvek contains 12 short stories. The plots mirror life in the recent past and depict the periods before and after the regime change. The book is introduced and discussed by Szűcs László, a journalist and the editor of the volume, and read by Ferenc Szélyes, an actor.

Recommendation: The stories focus on a generation that, as a Hungarian minority, had to accept their fate under the double standards of communism, and later found themselves entangled in the sometimes absurd shadows of nationalist propaganda ignited by the political players after the changes. The narratives delve into the lives of those whose everyday existence was embittered by the previous regime, as well as the conditions after the transition, forcing some onto a path they did not choose and shattering the dreams and desires of others, leading them to choose emigration as an escape. My stories evoke a "past present" in which the characters could be our relatives, friends, acquaintances, or anyone who lived through similar experiences portrayed in the book.
