We warmly invite you to the concert of the Tokos band on the second Sunday of Advent, December 7, at 6 PM, at the Reformed Church on Gecse Street.
Folk music lovers will be able to enjoy authentic traditional melodies and Christmas carols performed by Tokos, evoking the warmth and communal spirit of old village life.
Admission to the concert is free, but donations are kindly accepted as a gesture of appreciation for the performers.
About the band:
Tokos was formed in the early 2010s during the second flourishing of the táncház movement in Cluj-Napoca, by five music academy students. Their mission is to perform and pass on authentic Transylvanian folk music so that traditional melodies can live on in today’s communities.
The band adopted its name in 2012, and in 2014 became known throughout the Carpathian Basin after winning its category in the prestigious folk music competition “Fölszállott a páva.”
