Tache, Ianke and Cadâr (RO)

Oct-28

Tache, Ianke and Cadâr returns to Targu Mures!
Horațiu Mălăele, Răzvan Vasilescu and Mihai Constantin are bringing Victor Ion Popa's "Take, Ianke and Cadâr" back to the public.
The text, a savory comedy in three acts, written in 1932 and staged that same year at the Maria Ventura Theatre, was first staged at the Bulandra in 1957 by director N. Al. Toscani.
More than six decades after Toscani's staging, Horațiu Mălăele brings the three human typologies back to the stage, incarnating the Jew Ianke and casting Răzvan Vasilescu and Mihai Constantin in the roles of the Turk Cadâr and the Romanian Take.
The cast will also include the three main actors: Dana Dogaru, Adrian Ciobanu, Maria Veronica Vârlan and Matei Constantin. Maria Miu is in charge of set design.
The play brings to the forefront the life story of the three merchant friends, subtly tackling the issues of race, faith and religion, individual and group identity status, reminding us that differences are not necessarily a reason for dissension. But also that good understanding can work on the basis of acceptance and acceptance of what defines us and sets us apart from others.
