SOVATA SPRING RUN – XXX.th EDITION, 2026
The KGF@ARANYHALAK Sports Association, in collaboration with the City Hall of Sovata, organizes the 30th edition of the Sovata Spring Run on May 2, 2026.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, who wishes to run and enjoy the fresh air of Sovata.
On the occasion of this anniversary edition, we are introducing a special 10 km Trail Run, which will take place in Sovata in a breathtaking natural setting.
The Trail Run will start at 9:00 a.m. for all male and female age categories, with a mass start. Race kits can be collected before the start between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. from the registration point on the terrace of Bear Lake, upon presentation of an ID.
The 4 km race will take place on the streets of the resort, for all male and female age categories, with the start at 11:00 a.m., also with a mass start.

Registration for the 4 km race will be done on the day of the event (with ID or nominal list), between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. on the terrace of Bear Lake, at the registration point, with a mandatory medical certificate for each participant.
Age categories (female and male) for the 4 km race:
- Children III – born in 2016 or later
- Children II – born between 2014–2015
- Children I – born between 2012–2013
- Juniors III – born between 2010–2011
- Juniors II & I – born between 2006–2009
- Youth & Seniors – born between 2005–1996
- Veterans 30–39 – born between 1995–1986
- Veterans 40–49 – born between 1985–1976
- Veterans 50–59 – born between 1975–1966
- Veterans 60–69 – born between 1965–1956
- Veterans 70+ – born before 1956
Rankings will be made by age category and gender. The top 6 finishers in each category will receive diplomas, while 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will also receive prizes. Any appeals regarding the conduct of the competition or the rankings may be submitted within 15 minutes after the last participant finishes, with a fee of 50 RON.
Organizational details:
The organizers will ensure the preparation and running of the event, medical assistance, diplomas, and prizes. Travel, accommodation, and meal expenses will be covered by the participants.
