Peony Festival at the Castle

On 27-28 April, you are invited to the first ever Peony Festival - an event based around two of Mezőzáh's heritage sites: the Styeppe Peony Reserve and the Ugron Castle, also known as the "Calendar Castle".

Visitors to the Peony Reserve and beyond are invited to stop in the courtyard of the castle for a special local experience. Tastings of delicious local produce, craft workshops, children's activities, a play, a film screening, a photo exhibition, a guided tour of the Ugron Castle, a folklore exhibition and an aristocratic dinner are all on offer at the castle.

During the two days of the festival, there will also be a few fixed gastronomic points in the municipality where you can taste special local dishes.

The event is organised by Visit Mures, the Mezőzáh Mayor's Office and Asociația Manifest pentru Patrimoniu.
