NIGHTLOOSERS - concert
Mar-01
NIGHTLOSERS is a band founded in Cluj-Napoca in 1994, performing Transylvanian blues – a kind of postmodern ethno-blues in which the serious chords of American blues are blended with ethnic influences from the coexisting minorities, especially those of Transylvania. They create a delicious mix of blues and folk music, topped with a jazz-funky groove and plenty of humor. NIGHTLOSERS’ music is full of surprises and original twists.
In their 30 years of activity, NIGHTLOSERS have performed concerts in almost every European country, as well as in the United States, Canada, India, Cuba, Israel, and more.
In Romania, the band is particularly known for songs such as “Bețivan ratat” and “Dragostea-i ca și o râie,” which reflect the group’s characteristic sense of humor—also strongly present in their live performances.
The current members of Nightlosers are Hanno Hoefer, Jimi Laco, Lucian Pop, Grunzo Geza, Péter Attila, and Claudiu Purcărin.
The band has released four studio albums: Sitting On Top Of The World (1994), Plum Brandy Blues (1998), Rhythm & Bulz (2004), and Cinste lor (2013).
