18:00 Bolyai Farkas. Words, figures, worlds - opening.
In 2025 it will be 250 years since the birth of the scientist Bolyai Farkas. Teleki Library, in collaboration with
Teleki Téka Foundation, is organizing a temporary exhibition reflecting not only his scientific but also, among other things, his literary work. You will have the opportunity to meet Bolyai the polyhistorian.

Teleki Library - permanent exhibition of old books
In the permanent exhibition you can see the first Transylvanian printing from 1525, the Bucharest Bible and the first Hungarian translation of the Bible, Janssonius' 17th-century atlas of the world,
colored by hand, books by Newton, Galileo and Kőrösi Csoma Sándor, the deluxe edition of the United States Declaration of Independence, and the most important scientific books of the last 500 years. The permanent exhibition in the Teleki Library, which opened in 1802 and still functions as a public library today,
offers a selection of the most important and interesting books from Teleki Sámuel's library.
Bolyai Museum: Permanent exhibition
In the memorial room dedicated to the two Bolyai you can see the working room and objects of the polyhistor scholar Bolyai Farkas (professor of mathematics and physics, music theorist,
playwright, author of various forestry studies, stove builder), copies of the manuscripts
and the favorite book of his son, Bolyai János, the mathematical genius who revolutionized mathematical sciences.

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Bolyai Farkas, the Teleki-Bolyai Library in collaboration with the Foundation
Teleki Téka Foundation is organizing a temporary exhibition reflecting not only his scientific activity, but among others
