INTACT Theater Festival

The Tompa Miklós Company of the Târgu Mureș National Theater is organizing the first edition of the INTACT Theater Festival, which will take place between March 10–18, 2026, in Târgu Mureș.
The INTACT Festival is a large-scale cultural project, launched on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Târgu Mureș National Theater, with the aim of creating a space for dialogue and collaboration within contemporary theater in the region. The programme will bring together selected productions from SATU MARE, SFÂNTU GHEORGHE, TÂRGU MUREŞ, BUDAPESTA, SENTA (Serbia), BEREHOVE (Ukraine), alongside professional meetings, theater history exhibitions, roundtable discussions, and workshops dedicated to the exchange of experience and artistic innovation.
Through its artistic, educational, and community impact, the INTACT Theater Festival represents a landmark event for the cultural life of the city and the region, especially considering that no theatrical event of this scale has been organized in Târgu Mureș for over two decades. Our intention is for the festival to become a recurring event with international relevance.
