19th Transylvanian Gathering of Hungarian Professional Folk Dance Ensembles
This year, the Maros Artistic Ensemble is proud to host the 19th edition of the Transylvanian Gathering of Hungarian Professional Folk Dance Ensembles, taking place May 21–24, 2025, in Târgu Mureș.
This traveling festival is organized each year by one of the six Hungarian professional dance ensembles in Transylvania: Bekecs Dance Theatre, Harghita Székely Folk Dance Theatre, Háromszék Dance Theatre, Nagyvárad Dance Ensemble, Odorheiu Secuiesc Folk Dance Workshop, and this year’s host, Maros Artistic Ensemble.
The EHTET is the only professional forum uniting these six companies, providing an opportunity for artistic exchange, professional development, and mutual inspiration. Through workshops, presentations, and performances assessed by a professional jury, dancers, choreographers, and musicians of the region can engage and grow together. The event also welcomes the local community to enjoy the vibrant diversity of the folk dance profession.
