Nyerges Attila’s memories take us back to October 1956, when, as a young man, he fought on the front lines of the revolution alongside the young rebels of Budapest. During those turbulent times, he falls in love with a young revolutionary woman, but his actions soon put him in danger. He is forced to flee the country, leaving his love behind and starting a new life abroad. Carrying the weight and pain of his decision, he eventually decides to risk his freedom and return to Hungary to find his old friends and his love, who by then had become victims of the revolution.
Was he right to choose life over death?
Can he ever be happy again and learn to forgive himself?
The story is told through dance by five professional dancers, accompanied at times by spoken passages.
