Mother Hulda
A magical tale about the rewards of hard work and kindness
Based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm
Once upon a time there was a diligent girl and her lazy stepsister. One day, the diligent girl falls into a well – but not into water; she lands in a magical world! There she meets Mother Hulda, who makes snow fall to the earth whenever she shakes her feather bed.
Those who are hardworking and helpful are rewarded by Mother Hulda with a shower of gold, but those who are lazy and grumpy receive nothing but tar!
The story teaches us that goodness, perseverance, and courage always bring forth the most beautiful rewards – even if the adventure begins deep down in a well.
A one-act dance performance for children, recommended for ages 4–10.
