Petőfi's characters are simple everyday people, fallen heroes armed with even simpler problems and goals, whose actions and manifestations are woven around by the cunning web of love. Our folk dance theater performance, without neglecting humor, can open up different perspectives on love, highlighting the inner struggles of common people driven by different intentions and desires, pointing out the pettiness, clumsiness, and vulnerability of human beings. Just as Petőfi parodies the epic genre with his writing, we caricature the characteristics of those living in rural environments with the tools of dance, magnifying their fragility. Love becomes the simple cause of every action, pub brawl, and ultimately the imprisonment of our protagonists. Our performance speaks to multiple generations, promising carefree entertainment for high school students, but representatives of the older generation will also find something to their liking.
