Taste of the Citadel | Cultural Picnic in Saschiz
On May 1st, we invite you to discover Taste of the Citadel – a cultural picnic in the refuge fortress of Saschiz, bringing together community, heritage, and local gastronomy.
What we’re preparing:
• picnic baskets for 2 people (maximum 50 baskets available), filled with dishes prepared by the Women’s Neighborhood of Saschiz
• guided tours and stories from the 14th-century fortress
• cultural activities led by the fortress volunteers

The Taste of the Citadel cultural picnic aims to support the Women’s Neighborhood social project: the “Bucate din Vecinătate” community kitchen = a warm and nutritious lunch for every schoolchild.
Participation is by registration only, limited to a maximum of 50 reserved picnic baskets (1 basket = 2 people), via the form available here:
