Gala show/ Deus-Patria-Libertas/ Rákoczi 350 (HU)

A significant anniversary will be celebrated by Hungarians around the world in 2026: the 350th anniversary of the birth of II. Rákóczi Ferenc.

In the life and work of the prince of freedom, faith, morality, homeland, and the ideal of liberty were closely intertwined, serving as an example for future generations. His nine-year struggle for freedom was not in vain: Hungary and Transylvania became part of the European political stage, and the compromises and outcomes of the Peace of Satu Mare had a positive impact lasting until the Revolution and War of Independence of 1848–1849.

On this occasion, the Transylvanian House of Traditions Foundation and its partners organize a gala performance.

🇭🇺 On March 27, 2026, on the prince’s birthday, we warmly invite everyone to the hall of the Mureș Artistic Ensemble for a folk performance featuring Bekecs Dance Theatre, Szászcsávás Choir, Evelin Vajas, and the Tokos band. The audience will enjoy dances from Southern Alföld, Kibéd, Tyukod, Transylvanian Plain, Sălaj, and Kalotaszeg, as well as Rákóczi songs and folk songs from Sovata.
