The monodrama FROM DARKNESS INTO LIGHT is based on the diary of Jászai Mari, the laurel-crowned great lady of the nation.
The performance authentically conveys all the hardships of the artist’s joyless childhood, followed by the rough path of her artistic career, with its successes and disappointments alike.
In the role of the great Hungarian tragedienne, Jászai Mari, you can see Farkas Ibolya, our city’s celebrated actress, recently awarded the Hungarian State Gold Cross of Merit.
