Feast of Transylvanian Crafts - 3nd edition

History carved in wood, traditions nourished from the roots!
This year, between September 27 and 28, the 3rd edition of the Feast of Transylvanian Crafts will take place in the fortress of Targu Mures.
Centuries of knowledge, the craftsmen's footprints and respect for the past come together at our event, where Transylvanian folk culture comes to life again. Our aim is not only to preserve the heritage of our ancestors, but to transform it into a living tradition, constantly reinventing itself, while preserving its authenticity. Crafts are a treasure that can only survive through practice - and we want to keep this flame alive and pass it on to future generations.
The central theme of this year's edition is WOOD. This material has always occupied a special place in the life of Transylvanian people. The diversity of wood will be present in all parts of the program - in the exhibits, in the works of master carpenters and sculptors: musical instruments, everyday objects, wooden toys, woodwork - from carved gates, crates and shingles to painted furniture. Visitors will not only be able to admire the craftsmen's creations, but will also have the chance to try different woodworking techniques. The event will include craft demonstrations, handicraft activities, a craft fair, wood themed exhibitions, professional lectures and folk music performances.
