Feast of Transylvanian Crafts - 2nd edition

Also this year, Târgu Mureș Fortress is transformed into a traditional playground ➡ in September we organize for the second time the Feast of Transylvanian Handicrafts!
Showcasing folk crafts, supporting traditional Transylvanian folk culture, shepherding and passing it on to the next generations ➡ this is the mission of the Transylvanian Folk Crafts Celebration. Our aim is to create value, to provide space for the revitalization of old crafts, to support Transylvanian craftsmen and to help them in their creative process. Just as fairy tales and folk songs are passed down from mouth to mouth, so folk crafts are passed down from hand to hand, and only survive if there is someone to inherit them.
🎲 The main theme of this year's Feast of Transylvanian Handicrafts is PLAY, which will be reflected in both the location and the programs, thus transforming the fortress into a popular playground where the little ones will be able to discover and experience traditional folk games and their making, and the older ones will have the opportunity to reminisce about their childhood. The event will include craft demonstrations, handicraft activities, craft fair, the discovery of novel folk games, as well as various exhibitions, professional and folk music presentations, and concerts that will enrich the program.
