16 December, 7:00 PM – The Concert (1981, dir. Gábor Koltay)
This film is far more than a simple concert recording: it is a vivid, pulsating imprint of the beat era. The iconic songs of the band Illés – Miért hagytuk, hogy így legyen?, Kéglidal, Amikor én még kissrác voltam – still resonate today with the same liberating energy.
Through the personal stories of the band members and fans, we gain insight into what music meant to the youth of the ’60s and ’70s: community, freedom, and finding their own voice. The film is both a nostalgic journey and a spectacular musical experience.
Director: Gábor Koltay
Cast: Nyitrai Illés, Koncz Zsuzsa, Fonográf, Tolcsvay Trió

Why should you come?
Because these are films everyone should see.
They are not just films – they are cultural milestones connecting generations.
They raise questions that remain relevant today.
They are the works of some of the brightest stars of Hungarian filmmaking.
And they are experiences that truly come alive on the big screen, shared with others.
