The Smile of the Mezőség

Our dance theatre performance titled The Smile of the Mezőség showcases the richness of the traditional culture of this region.
The performance reflects on the diversity of Mezőség, its musical wealth, and the vitality of its dances, which have evolved from the mutual influence of Hungarian, Romanian, and Roma dance cultures living side by side.

The program presents the dances and music of Mezőség, especially from the Borsa Valley. The villages evoked in the show include: Alsótők, Girolt, Bonchida, Válaszút, Kide, Bálványoscsaba, Szék, Mezőkeszü, and Magyarpalatka.
