With the canopy of trees getting bigger and the mornings getting louder, we often can't see the birds on the streets, only hear them. The hypha_etc association organises bird song walks every Saturday in April, where we will learn about the birds of the green areas of Târgu Mureș, and with the help of the Milvus Group, we will also get to know their habitats and characteristics. Although many online resources and apps are now available to help you learn about and identify species at home, they cannot replace the experience and knowledge gained in the field. We welcome all interested listeners, regardless of age or background!

Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing is recommended, no special equipment is needed. On-site translation between Romanian, Hungarian and English is available on request.

The event is part of hypha_etc's [education, theory, culture] 2024 Citizen Science program series, run in partnership with NECC (Nature Education Community Center) and Milvus Group. The series of events aims to promote citizen science on nature conservation and biodiversity at a regional level. We support the development of local practices that in the long term will contribute to an active, science-loving Transylvanian community engaged in ecological issues.
