BERECZ: FATHER - SON
Instead of teaching – example
Dance, folk song, storytelling, piano music – four dimensions on one stage.
Though distinct, they form a unity. One family, the same respect for traditions, the same thread of love for every musical rhythm.
Heritage, tradition, joy, mutual learning that spans a lifetime.
Berecz András and his three sons present a performance that invites the audience to dance, to feel joy, to laugh warmly, to return to a nostalgic sense of childhood, and to be filled with emotions that can be carried within for a long time.
The performance gathers various branches of Hungarian culture and the arts into a single bouquet and unifies them in a way familiar to many of us – “…without any kind of constraint, at home, during family celebrations.”
It is a collective form of expression that embraces every lived emotion of human existence. With its eloquent words it amazes us, and when the human voice is no longer enough, music itself continues the story.
“When even music is no longer enough, a person kicks the chair out from under themselves and begins to make music with their hands, feet, and body – that is, they dance.”
