Bear Day at the Zoo
Feb-02
Program:
• Opening: Kopacz András, deputy director of the Zoo, will present, in Romanian and Hungarian, the significance of February 2 in popular tradition and the connection between bears and the cycles of nature.
• Public feeding: Four boxes of food will be placed in the bear enclosure. We will observe the bears' behavior together according to tradition:
o If the bear sees its shadow, it is said that winter will continue.
o If it does not see its shadow, spring will come soon.
• Awarding of the "Friend of the Bear" Diploma: Each child will receive a symbolic diploma for participation and involvement.
• Group photo: Festive moment with the children, the diplomas received, and the teddy bears brought from home.
We look forward to seeing you with a smile on your face, and if the children wish, they can bring their favorite teddy bear with them for the group photo!
