Ady Endre: Apró, véres balladák (HU)

Jun-02

2 june 2026

Ady Endre’s lesser-known short stories reveal a unique, ballad-like world: concise yet deeply human tales in which personal memories intertwine with the social realities of the era. His writing combines psychological subtlety, sharp observation, and a dense, powerful prose style.
Horváth Csaba and Forte Társulat bring this restrained and distinctive world to life through their unique theatrical language. Through gestures, movement, and striking stage imagery, they convey Ady’s humor, insight, and profoundly human stories.
The performance is a stage adaptation of five short stories which together reflect Ady’s youth and inner world. In these narratives, personal confession and the reality of early 20th-century Hungary are given voice side by side.
The experience is enriched by the live music of Lukács Miklós and the Cimbiózis Trió, blending elements of jazz, contemporary music, and folk traditions.
A joint production by Forte Társulat and Pannon Várszínház, presented at the AUER Festival.
