VI. Marathon of the Nirajului

This year, for the sixth time, on October 13, 2024, the "Nyárádmenti Running Festival" running race will be organized. The aim of our competition is to promote regular physical activity in the community and thereby foster community cohesion. As for the race distances, we have kept the distances from last year. Adults can choose from distances of 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km, as well as a 4 x 5.25 km (relay) option, while locals can participate in the 2 km distance, and a children's race will also be organized.

For the 21 km and 10 km distances, the first 3 male and female finishers will be rewarded with valuable prizes. Additionally, the top three finishers in each age group (15-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) will be awarded prizes for both men and women. Open category winners in the 21 km and 10 km races will not be included in age group awards. In the 5 km distance, only the top 5 finishers will receive prizes in the Open category for both men and women, and in the 2 km local race, the first 3 male and female finishers will be rewarded. For relays, the first 3 male teams, first 3 female teams, and first 3 mixed teams will be awarded prizes if there are enough entries in all three categories.

In the children's races, the first three boys and girls will be awarded prizes in each age group (under 5, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14). There will be a separate distance for children under 5, and the maximum age limit for children's races is 14 years. Distances range from 300m to 1000m.

21km - 100 lei
10km - 80 lei
5km - 70 lei
Relays 4x 5.3km - 200 lei
2km (Only for locals) - 30 lei
Children's races - 20 lei, payable on the spot on the day of the race.
